Promoting peaceful and inclusive societies [1]

The Addis Ababa Action Agenda [2] commits to promote peaceful and inclusive societies and to build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels to enable the effective, efficient and transparent mobilization and use of resources.

Specifically, the Addis Agenda [2]:

  • Reaffirms the importance of peaceful and inclusive societies
  • Stresses the need to build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels
  • Recognizes that good governance, rule of law, human rights, fundamental freedoms, equal access to fair justice systems are integral to efforts
  • Recognizes measures to combat corruption and curb illicit financial flows as integral
  • Commits to promoting and enforcing nondiscriminatory laws
