Fiscal Analysis of Resource Industries

The IMF Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) provides extensive technical assistance in designing fiscal regimes for natural resources. This TA typically utilizes the FAD developed "FARI" program for modeling regimes, available with manual on IMF website. To date FARI assistance has been provided to about 50 countries, and FAD has also provided more intensive capacity building on using FARI to strengthen fiscal regime analysis/revenue forecasting in about 20 countries
